Seattle Children's Hospital has struggled with infections from Aspergillus mold since the early 2000s, but did not link them to its air-handling systems during a previous investigation and lawsuit. Now, the esteemed hospital has reversed course and is installing high-efficiency air filters in all of its operating rooms.
