Washington State Patrol is expanding Gov. Jay Inslee’s security unit amid presidential bid — at a cost of $4 million

Anticipating a frenetic out-of-state travel schedule as Inslee campaigns for president, the Patrol plans to assign six additional troopers, a sergeant and a lieutenant to the Executive Protection Unit. Inslee has declined to reimburse the state for the costs.
